CSK also hold a 3-1 lead at Mumbai's other grounds. They won the 2010 final and a 2022 league game at the DY Patil Stadium, and the 2014 Eliminator at the Brabourne.

Using CSK vs MI head to head stats for betting

Head to head data works best as one input alongside current form, team news and pitch reports. Three trends stand out for staking on IPL betting apps ahead of the next meeting.

Recent form beats the all-time record

MI lead 21-20 overall, but CSK have won eight of the last 10. Seventeen of MI's 21 wins came before 2020, with squads built around Rohit, Pollard and Malinga.

Chasing sides have the edge in league games

The team batting second has won 23 of 41 meetings, and CSK's last three wins at Chepauk were all chases. Finals are the exception: the side batting first won all four. Check the toss result before placing live bets.

Venue shapes the total runs market

Chepauk has produced low first innings scores in recent meetings: 139, 155 and 159 across the last three games. The Wankhede is less predictable, with totals in this fixture ranging from 79 to 207.

Do not read too much into MI's one-win lead. Their 17-11 record before 2020 belongs to a different era, and CSK have dominated since. The last three seasons give a clearer picture of this matchup.
